The studio ARTEC Architekten was founded in Vienna in 1985 by architects Bettina Götz (b. 1962, Bludenz) and Richard Manahl (b. 1955, Bludenz), both graduates of the Technical University of Graz. During twenty years of successful creation, they have participated in many competitions and constructed an entire series of exceptional buildings that have gained a range of Austrian and international awards. The team unquestionably numbers among the leading representatives of contemporary Austrian architecture. (For more information, see the studio’s internet site at: www.artec-architekten.at)

The video was filmed in the studio of ARTEC Architekten, Am Hundsturm 5, Vienna, on September 23, 2006. For the recording we used a room where architectural models are stored because of its acustics.

The ideas of the architects and the associated projects are arranged precisely as they were mentioned during the filming in the natural order, one after the other. To retain the authenticity of the interview, the video was subjected to a minimum of editorial intervention.
